Knockaround Sunglasses Partners with San Diego Zoo Global to Release Collaborative Animal-Themed Shades with Proceeds Benefiting Non-Profit’s Conservation Efforts

Special Release Giraffe Sunglasses to Debut June 22 With Cheetah and Rhino Shades Following in August and September

San Diego, CA (June 19, 2020) – As the nation’s most recognized wildlife sanctuary officially reopens its doors to the general public on June 20, San Diego Zoo Global and Knockaround sunglasses announce a special collaboration offering a series of animal-inspired sunglasses while raising critical funds in the process. 

San Diego-based Knockaround, the original affordable sunglasses brand known worldwide for its custom shop, pop culture-inspired special releases and countless colorways, will release its Reticulated Giraffe Premiums, the first of its San Diego Zoo co-branded shades, on June 22 (the Monday following World Giraffe Day). Available for $30 at Knockaround.com and in limited quantities at San Diego Zoo, $5 of every purchase will support San Diego Zoo Global’s worldwide conservation initiatives. 

Following the launch of the Giraffe glasses, this first-ever collaboration between Knockaround and the San Diego Zoo brand will roll out two additional, limited quantity Zoo-inspired shades, the Cheetah Fast Lanes on August 4th and Southern White Rhino Fort Knocks on September 22nd (also World Rhino Day).
