El Cajon Mayor Bill Wells breaks the half million-dollar mark in his campaign for Congress.

(San Diego, CA) – El Cajon Mayor Bill Wells announced today that his final quarterly finance report for 2023 will show over $525,000 raised into his campaign for California’s 51st Congressional district. During the first three quarters of 2023, Mayor Wells consistently outperformed his opponents in individual donations and his team expects the same outcome with this final quarterly report. Mayor Wells’ campaign for Congress is fueled by 570 unique donors.

Bill Wells grew up in California’s 51st Congressional district and raised his family in the district too. Serving as Mayor since 2013, Wells has been re-elected three times by sweeping margins. A Doctor of Psychology and Registered Nurse with over 35 years of experience as a mental health professional, Mayor Wells has become a nationally recognized expert on the issue of homelessness.
